OPEN CALL: Greater Valley Artists
FORELAND ANNOUNCES THE NEXT OPEN CALL FOR GREATER VALLEY ARTISTS
The free, rotating series is a supportive exhibition platform for the many extraordinary artists in the region.
WHAT: Foreland is excited to announce the public open call for the third Greater Valley Artist showcase, which will accept submissions from artists based in Greene & Columbia counties. This unique revolving exhibition series located within Foreland’s 85,000 square foot arts campus in Catskill, New York, will be free and open to the public, and will continue to highlight the extraordinary population of artists in our beloved region. Artists featured in previous iterations of the Greater Valley Artist showcase include Susan Meyer and Carter Hodgkin, Jackie Fischer. The Greater Valley Artist series is now accepting proposals for painting, drawing, photography and sculptural relief presentations for the upcoming exhibition cycle taking place this Fall 2024. There are no fees to apply or participate, and the selected artists are provided a three-month exhibition.
Submissions will be reviewed and selected by Foreland’s Director of Programming, Jesse Greenberg.
DEADLINE: The deadline to apply for the next application cycle is Sept. 22nd, 2024, but artists are encouraged to reach out year-round with proposals for future exhibition cycles.
APPLY: Artists of all ages, backgrounds, and identities are encouraged to apply.
Applicants must live or work in Greene or Columbia County.
